About Us
History
Plontzie's was founded by Mary Plontz in 2004. After graduating from Great Lakes Grooming Academy and gaining grooming experience at a local pet salon in Toledo, OH, Mary worked as an independent contractor providing grooming services in the mobile grooming arena. During her experience in both the salon and mobile salon environments she envisioned her ideal grooming service...one that focused on providing superior grooming services for pets and friendly, professional customer service for pet lovers.
Hours
Mobile grooming services are available by appointment only. Appointments for mobile are available Monday thru Friday starting at 8:30AM.
Salon grooming services are available by appointment; walk-ins are welcome when availability allows. Appointments in the salon are available Tuesday - Saturday. There are morning drop-off times at 8:00AM (pet ready by 1:00PM or sooner) and afternoon drop-off times at 1:00PM (pet ready by 5:00PM or sooner).
Full-Service Retail Salon
Our salon is located in the Shoppes at South Boundary in the heart of Perrysburg, OH (the plaza also home of Rite Aid and Planet Fitness). Grooming at our salon is performed from start-to-finish by each groomer rather than in a production line. We never cage dry; all drying is hand-dry by the groomer. Also shop our retail area for pet essentials.
Mobile Grooming
Our mobile grooming vans begin and end their day at our Perrysburg salon and service the Toledo Metro area traveling as far East as Oregon, West as Swanton, North as state line, South as Bowling Green. All grooming is performed in our self-contained climate controlled vans. We carry our own clean water which is never reused. We only need access to an electrical outlet for power.
Grooming Academy
Plontzie's Grooming Academy offers a 640 hour diploma program to teach you how to become a successful professional pet groomer. We are authorized by the State of Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools. Interested in learning more? Click on the Grooming Academy link in the menu on the left!
